2024 National Wheat Yield Contest Results
Limagrain Cereal Seeds Tops the Charts in Winter Wheat
Winning both winter wheat Bin Buster awards and many first-place trophies, farmers planting Limagrain Cereal Seeds varieties brought home a lot of gold in this year’s National Wheat Yield Contest.
In the Winter Wheat-Dryland category, LCS Shine showed why it got its name by outshining the competition. Steve VanGrunsven of Forest Grove, OR, earned the prestigious Bin Buster title with an outstanding yield of 170.63 bushels per acre using LCS Shine. Clint Zenner from Genesee, ID, secured 2nd place with 167.03 bushels per acre using LCS Shine, while Garrett Warren of Dayton, WA, claimed 3rd place with 164.68 bushels per acre with a combination of 50% LCS Shine and 50% LCS Jefe.
In the Winter Wheat-Irrigated category, Phillip Gross of Warden, WA, flew to the top of the charts with LCS Jet, claiming the Bin Buster award with an amazing 223.08 bushels per acre, the highest yield of this year’s contest!
This makes LCS Shine a Bin Buster winner 4 years running!
